In earlier times people still use a letter to contact friends or relatives. And the arrival of the letter could be many days. In contrast to today, we can contact a friend or relatives by phone, and even social media.

I think, in the presence of technology we can easily explore the world on this earth. We can share interesting things easily. In addition, we can more quickly have friends with different cultures. Yes! It could all through social media.

But it remains to be careful. We must follow the rules. Not to break the rules!
Of course, as is often reported by the news media, that there are many people who are in trouble/problem because they don't follow the rules.

Technology created to enable people in positive terms, not complicate. Technology evolved from era to era with the aim of further facilitate people in positive terms. And I think we as humans should be grateful and use it properly.

Finally I have the time to make this article, the article is based on what was in my mind all this time. It is my experience as a student. In the past, I've done what is usually done a lot of students that cheating in terms of attendance and exam. Illegal absent is one of the cooperation of two people or more to reach the imposture in terms of attendance, for example: "A" present at the lecture and then he/she deliberately signed the B (friends of the A) in order to look the B present, when in fact the B not present. Another example: Person A do for friends or other companions, there are the C, D, E, F, etc.

When I was still a student like that, I also felt disappointed and even angered if the lecturer knew me cheating. But it was when I was a beginner as a student which still have not been able to control my ego well.

But over time, I realized that I have ever done are things that can hurt themselves and others, although it is commonplace in my neighborhood when it was. I feel myself 11-12 with criminals if I do that. In addition, there are still many out there who want to study at college level, we should be grateful and use this opportunity well. Keep favors it from damage! Who knows we do not receive favors it again later. "And We have already created man and know what his soul whispers to him, and We are closer to him than [his] jugular vein. When the two receivers receive, seated on the right and on the left. Man does not utter any word except that with him is an observer prepared [to record]."(QS. Qaf: 16-18)

Illegal absent or cheat is deceptive activities. Messenger of Allah said: "And those who deceive us, then he is not belonged to us" (HR.Muslim). In the context of illegal absent and cheat, which deceived is a lecturer and other students. And of course the culprit also get the loss, and How can it be like that? 1. related to sin; 2. can become a bad habit.

Then, "O you who have believed, do not violate the rites of Allah or [the sanctity of] the sacred month or [neglect the marking of] the sacrificial animals and garlanding [them] or [violate the safety of] those coming to the Sacred House seeking bounty from their Lord and [His] approval. But when you come out of ihram, then [you may] hunt. And do not let the hatred of a people for having obstructed you from al-Masjid al-Haram lead you to transgress. And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression. And fear Allah ; indeed, Allah is severe in penalty. "(Al-Maidah: 2). Naudzubillahimindzalik.

Thank God, I did not illegal absent and cheat again, I even reported people like that. Yes of course there is tremendous pressure on the environment. Some said "it's my business, it is up to illegal absent or not, is up to cheat or not. No need to intervene. It is not your business, take care of your own business. Do not like being a hero! On the other campuses there is nothing like it". And "Is the attendance list will be taken to the hereafter? Is the value to be taken to the hereafter? ". Nah! If attendance is not so important for those who are cheating, then why do they bother illegal absent / cheat in terms of attendance? Values in the lecture would not be brought to the hereafter, but why do they bother to justify any means to get good grades? The purpose of my life was the hereafter. My basic report them cuz: 1. My goal is; 2. Nation and my beloved country; 3. Trying to participate to change habits that need to be changed; 4. People who do not cheat.

Illegal absent or cheat it is also affairs of others in their environment. Their friends are honest being the victim for their actions. There were diligent and not cheat when exams and lectures, but there are opposite on the other side. Seem unfair when out value/grades, there is through the laborious process with diligence and honesty, but on one side there is instant. It is not a pure value that comes out but rather the opposite. And can not reflect the superior student and vice versa.

Solidarity so that must pass together as one generation? I wonder where the value of kindness if solidarity in this way (cheating).
It is a mistake though on the basis of friendship. Misperception.
I think friendship is not as cheap as it is, not as low as it is.

In my opinion, the way to love a friend is not like that. But Let your friend do something without cheat, but if he/she's trying to cheat or have already done so it would not hurt for you to give counsel or scold and even report his/her actions. It is also for the good of one another. There is respect for people who are honest.
I think there is no problem to do so, I think there is no problem to warn or advise people who cheat, most importantly there is no malice. Humans certainly have an error and therefore if there is another human being who knows the act is wrong, so it's good to help them not make that mistake again.
Allah says: "Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good instruction, and argue with them in a way that is best. Indeed, your Lord is most knowing of who has strayed from His way, and He is most knowing of who is [rightly] guided". (Q.S. An-Nahl / 16: 125).
Together for not cheating is also one of great respect to colleagues or friends. Also, changing bad habits into good.

In addition, if the generation like me who take the focus of public administration studies, there are discussion groups that discuss or debate about corruption, political situation, nor is social. Openly says pro anti-corruption, criticized the politicians who engage in corruption but in practice some of them (students) even commit fraud in the lecture. It's the opposite.

Why not be the generation that total anti-corruption, became a senior who give good example to the juniors. They are who Seniors are also very important in this regard, as well as lecturers. They need to give a good example, be a good example. In the words of Mr. Anies Baswedan, "Good people uprooted not only because of the bad people, but because of the many good people are silent and indifferent". So do not be silent or even allow people to commit fraud/cheat!

Illegal absent/cheat are also contrary to Article 1 (1) of Law Number 20 Year 2003 on National Education System, which reads:
"Education means conscious and well-planned effort in creating a learning environment and learning process so that learners will be able to develop their full potential for acquiring spiritual and religious strengths, develop self-control, personality, intelligence, morals and noble character and skills that one needs for him/herself, for the community, for the nation, and for the State".

Honestly, I felt something wrong when the third semester in Social and Political, I felt there were lessons from a mistake when registration. When the new admissions, to be honest at that time I wanted to choose a Business Administration. But yeaaaa tired and made me unfocused, so I chose Public Administration. Yeah but when undergoing lecture, I felt I need to change something of myself, for example: first I was very indifferent to politics because the news disgusted so many politicians are corrupt, but after studying Public Administration, I understood why politics is so important in human life. Inside of the politics there are sensitive, fair, transparent, honest, and courage.

I think there needs to be a mental revolution for the people in this country, as well as a good habit (no compromise against fraud/cheat). People in this country need to implement anti-corruption practices not only in the environment like me (Faculty of Social and Political Sciences) but also in the other environment, not only when entering into the world of work but also when formal and non-formal. It's time to work together to grow the seeds of anti-corruption! This country needs people who are not only smart or intelligent, not only need people who are willing to work hard, but also honest, brave and sincere!

Akhirnya ada waktu luang nih untuk membuat tulisan berdasarkan unek-unek yang ada di benak saya selama ini. Ini adalah pengalaman saya ketika menjadi mahasiswa. Saya pernah melakukan apa yang biasanya dilakukan banyak mahasiswa yaitu melakukan kecurangan seperti titip absen dan menyontek. Titip absen adalah salah satu bentuk kerjasama dua orang atau lebih untuk mencapai kecurangannya dalam hal kehadiran, sebagai contoh: si A hadir di perkuliahan kemudian dengan sengaja menandatangani absen si B (temannya si A) supaya terlihat si B hadir, padahal sebenarnya si B tidak hadir. Contoh lain: si A melakukan hal tersebut untuk teman atau sahabat lainnya, ada si C, D, E, F, dll.

Ketika dulu saya masih menjadi mahasiswa seperti itu, saya juga pasti pernah merasa kecewa dan bahkan kesal terhadap dosen yang mengetahui saya titip absen ataupun menyontek. Tetapi itu dulu ketika masih pemula sebagai mahasiswa yang mana masih belum bisa mengendalikan ego dengan baik. Masih lebih suka seru-seruan dengan hal seperti itu yaitu titip absen ataupun menyontek.

Namun seiring berjalannya waktu, saya sadar yang pernah saya lakukan tersebut adalah hal yang bisa merugikan diri sendiri dan orang lain, meskipun itu hal yang lumrah di lingkungan saya ketika itu. Saya merasa diri saya 11-12 dengan koruptor jika saya melakukan hal tersebut. Selain itu juga masih banyak di luar sana yang ingin menimba ilmu di jenjang perkuliahan, seharusnya kita yang diberi kesempatan menimba ilmu di jenjang perkuliahan bisa bersyukur dan menggunakan kesempatan tersebut dengan baik. Jaga nikmat itu dari kerusakan! Siapa tau nikmat itu tidak kita terima lagi kelak. “Dan sesungguhnya Kami telah menciptakan manusia dan mengetahui apa yang di bisikkan oleh hatinya, dan Kami lebih dekat kepadanya dengan urat lehernya. yaitu ketika dua malaikat mencatat amal perbuatannya. satu duduk di sebelah kanan dan yang lain duduk di sebelah kiri. Tiada satu ucapan pun yang di ucapkannya melainkan ada di dekatnya malaikat pengawas yang selalu hadir.” (QS. Qaf: 16-18)

Titip absen ataupun menyontek merupakan kegiatan menipu. Rasulullah saw bersabda “Dan barang siapa menipu kami, maka dia bukanlah termasuk golongan kami” (HR.Muslim). Dalam konteks titip absen dan menyontek, yang ditipu adalah dosen dan mahasiswa/wi lainnya. Tetapi dalam hal kerugian tentu saja tidak hanya dua pihak itu yang mendapat kerugian, tetapi juga yang menipunya. Mengapa yang menipunya mendapatkan kerugian juga? 1. terkait dosa; 2. bisa menjadi kebiasaan buruk.

Kemudian, “Dan tolong-menolonglah kamu dalam (mengerjakan) kebajikan dan takwa, dan jangan tolong-menolong dalam berbuat dosa dan pelanggaran. Dan bertakwalah kamu kepada Allah, sesungguhnya Allah amat berat siksa-Nya.” (Al-Maidah:2). Naudzubillahimindzalik.

Alhamdulillah saya tidak melakukan titip absen maupun menyontek lagi, bahkan saya melaporkan orang-orang seperti itu. Ya tentu ada tekanan yang amat besar dari lingkungan. Ada saja yang berucap “itu urusan ku, terserah mau titip absen atau tidak, terserah mau menyontek atau tidak. Tidak usah ikut campur. Itu bukan urusanmu, uruslah urusanmu sendiri. Jangan sok-sokan menjadi pahlawan. Di kampus lain saja biasa saja yang seperti itu”. Ada pula yang berucap “memangnya absen dibawa mati? Memangnya nilai dibawa mati?”. Nah! Kalau absen tidak begitu penting buat dia yang curang lalu mengapa bersusah payah titip absen/curang dalam hal absensi? Nilai pun tak dibawa mati, tetapi mengapa bersusah payah menghalalkan segala cara untuk mendapatkan nilai yang bagus? Tujuan hidup saya adalah akhirat. Dasar saya melaporkan yaitu untuk: 1. Tujuan saya tersebut; 2. Bangsa dan negara tercinta saya; 3. Berusaha ikut serta mengubah kebiasaan yang perlu diubah; 4. Orang-orang yang tidak curang.

Titip absen ataupun menyontek itu juga urusan pihak lain di lingkungannya. Teman-temannya yang jujur menjadi korban atas ulahnya tersebut. Ada yang rajin dan tidak curang ketika ujian dan perkuliahan, tetapi satu sisi ada yang sebaliknya. Terlihat tidak adil ketika keluar nilai, ada yang melalui proses susah payah dengan ketekunannya dan kejujurannya namun di satu sisi ada pula yang instant. Tidak akan keluar nilai murni yang mencerminkan mana yang lebih unggul dan mana yang sebaliknya.

Setia kawan supaya lulus bersama karena masuknya bersama (satu angkatan)? Entah dimana nilai kebaikannya jika setia kawan dengan cara seperti itu (melakukan kecurangan).
Sekalipun titip absen ataupun menyonteknya dilakukan atas dasar persahabatan, tetap saja itu salah.
Menurut saya persahabatan tak semurah itu, tak serendah itu.

Menurut saya, cara menyayangi kawan atau sahabat bukanlah seperti itu. Akan tetapi biarlah temanmu itu bekerja tanpa kecurangan, dan jika berusaha curang atau sudah melakukan kecurangan maka nasehatilah atau tegur dan laporkan kecurangan yang merugikan orang lain tersebut. Itu juga untuk kebaikannya dan kebaikan bersama. Ada respect untuk orang-orang yang jujur.
Tak apa menegur atau menasehatinya yang curang asalkan tidak ada rasa kebencian dan dendam terhadap individunya. Manusia pasti memiliki kesalahan dan oleh sebab itu jika ada manusia lain yang mengetahui itu salah, maka ada baiknya untuk membantunya tidak melakukan kesalahan itu lagi.
Allah SWT berfirman: ”Serulah (manusia) kepada jalan Tuhanmu dengan hikmah dan pelajaran yang baik dan bantahlah mereka dengan cara yang lebih baik”. (Q.S. An-Nahl/16:125).

Bersama-sama tidak melakukan kecurangan juga salah satu bentuk kepedulian kepada kawan atau sahabat. Juga mengubah habit yang tidak baik menjadi baik.

Meskipun titip absen dan menyontek sudah menjadi hal yang sering terjadi di banyak kampus, tetapi apakah patut untuk diteruskan oleh generasi selanjutnya? Apalagi jika generasi tersebut menempuh pendidikan terkait sosial dan politik seperti saya yang pastinya ada diskusi ataupun debat kelas atau kelompok terkait korupsi, keadaan politik, ataupun juga sosial. Di teori terang-terangan mengatakan pro anti KKN, mengkritik para politisi yang melakukan korupsi tetapi di prakteknya malah melakukan kecurangan di perkuliahan. Sungguh bertolak belakang.

Mengapa tidak menjadi generasi yang di teori dan praktek pro anti KKN, menjadi kakak angkatan yang memberikan contoh yang baik dan benar kepada adik-adik angkatannya. Kakak angkatan juga amatlah penting dalam hal ini, begitu juga dosen. Kakak angkatan dan dosen perlu untuk memberi contoh, menjadi teladan yang baik. Mengutip kata-kata Pak Anies Baswedan, "Orang-orang baik tumbang bukan hanya karena banyaknya orang jahat, tetapi karena banyaknya orang-orang baik yang diam dan mendiamkan". Jadi janganlah mendiamkan apalagi mempersilahkan melakukan kecurangan.

Titip absen dan menyontek juga bertolak belakang dengan Pasal 1 ayat (1) Undang-Undang Nomor 20 Tahun 2003 tentang Sistem Pendidikan Nasional, yang berbunyi:
“Pendidikan adalah usaha sadar dan terencana untuk mewujudkan suasana belajar dan proses pembelajaran agar peserta didik secara aktif mengembangkan potensi dirinya untuk memiliki kekuatan spiritual keagamaan, pengendalian diri, kepribadian, kecerdasan, akhlak mulia, serta keterampilan yang diperlukan dirinya, masyarakat, bangsa dan Negara”.

Jujur saja saya baru terasa ketika semester ketiga di Sosial dan Politik, baru terasa hikmahnya salah pilih fokus studi. Ketika penerimaan mahasiswa baru, jujur saja saya ingin memilih Administrasi Bisnis. Tetapi karena lelah dan membuat saya tidak fokus, saya jadi pilih Administrasi Negara. Ya akan tetapi ketika dijalani, saya merasa ada yang perlu saya ubah pada diri saya contohnya saja dulu begitu cuek dengan politik karena muaknya pemberitaan begitu banyak politisi yang korup, namun setelah masuk ke jurusan tersebut saya baru mengerti mengapa politik begitu penting dalam kehidupan manusia. Didalam politik pun ada terkait kepekaan, keadilan, transparan, kejujuran, keberanian.

Orang-orang di negeri ini penting adanya revolusi mental, perlu adanya kebiasaan tidak ada kompromi terhadap kecurangan. Orang-orang di negeri ini perlu menerapkan praktek anti KKN tidak hanya di lingkungan seperti saya tersebut (Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Politik) tetapi juga di lingkungan fokus studi lainnya, tidak hanya ketika masuk ke dunia kerja tetapi juga ketika pendidikan formal maupun non-formal. Saatnya untuk bersama-sama menumbuhkan benih-benih anti KKN! Negeri ini butuh orang-orang yang tidak hanya pintar atau cerdas, tidak hanya butuh orang yang mau bekerja keras, tetapi juga jujur dan berani serta tulus!
